Interactiv Children's Therapy Services (ICTS) offers Occupational Therapy services to a wide variety of clients. Our patients range from new born to 21 years of age, and we are familiar with the effective treatment of many conditions including Autism, Down's Syndrome, Fragile X, ADD/ADHD, Asperger?s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury and more. Our Occupational Therapists utilize a very Sensory Integrative approach in treatment sessions with our clients. What is Sensory Integration? Sensory Integration is the ability to organize sensory information for functional use. A child's basic awareness of his body and the world around him is integration. Information from the visual (eyes), Auditory (ears), Vestibular (movement), Tactile (touch), and Proprioceptive (muscles and joints) systems must all come together to help a child learn to sit, jump rope, balance, pay attention in class, copy an assignment or read a book.

Sensory Integration sorts, orders, and eventually puts all of the sensory inputs together into a whole brain function. When the functions of the brain are whole and balanced, body movements are highly adaptive, learning is easy and appropriate behavioral responses are natural outcomes.

We offer both home health and clinic based services. Our new, state-of-the-art clinic boasts a sensory gym where children's systems can be appropriately challenged. Our therapists provide effective therapy through innovative techniques and playful engagement.
